Ferries to AnconaPort connections and services

The Port of Ancona is an important gateway to Eastern Europe. Its latest reconstruction dates back to the post-war period and was designed to develop to the maximum the operation of industrial and tourist traffic at the international level.

The port is located close to the city and is organized into 5 areas, with 26 docks dedicated to different uses: passenger traffic, cruises, cargo, fishing area, and a final recreational area. The S. Maria embarkation pier is dedicated entirely to passenger traffic. The Ancona ferry embarkations are about 500 meters away from the unguarded paid car and RV parking lots.

The maritime station has inside it a baggage storage service, restrooms, refreshment areas offering wi-fi hotspot lines, a minibus shuttle service also equipped to transport passengers with reduced mobility and the disabled.

Port traffic on this port is one of the most important in the Adriatic Sea, registering an average of 1.5 million passengers traveling each year and more than 200,000 commercial vehicles transiting on ferries from Ancona.

The port activity makes use of a dense network of ferry departures from Ancona to Albania, Croatia, and Greece. The port of Ancona connects to cities such as, Corfu, Durrës, Patras, and Igoumenitsa. The shipping companies that provide these routes are Anek Lines, Adria Ferries, Grimaldi Lines, Snav, Minoan Lines, and Jadrolinija

The routes to and from Ancona operate year-round, with daily sailings that are intensified in the summer months. Crossings can last from 4 to 23 hours depending on the destination.
