All the ferry companies to Croatia are on MrFerry
There are as many as six shipping companies handling routes to and from Croatia and all are available on MrFerry, with prices and promotions always updated in real time.
The routes are mainly seasonal, with departures from the port of Bari to Dubrovnik and Split and from Ancona to Zadar, operated by Snav and Jadrolinija ferry companies, which use large ferries capable of carrying a large number of vehicles. The companies Kompass and Venezia Lines, handle only passenger transport aboard fast and modern hydrofoils, with departures from the popular tourist destination Venice and arrivals in the Croatian ports of Porec, Piran, Pula, Rovinj and Umag.

If you prefer to depart from Trieste for Croatia then you will travel on board Liberty Lines' hydrofoils, arriving at the ports of Porec, Piran and Rovinj. You can also choose to travel along the Croatian coast on the Piran Porec and Piran Rovinj routes.
If your destination are the Croatian islands and you want to depart from Italy, the right routes for you are Pesaro Lošinj and Pesaro Novalja, a port on the island of Pag. These routes are operated solely by the hydrofoils of the Gomo Viaggi shipping company, which also connects the port of Cesenatico to Lošinj, Rovinj and Novalja.
All of these routes operate only seasonally, while, if you wish to travel in the off-season and thus in the winter period, the only route always available is Ancona Split ferry operated by the Jadrolinija company

Croatia ferryConnections and travel options

Modern ferries plying the Croatian waters are equipped with comfortable amenities to ensure a pleasant voyage. Standard accommodations typically include options for deck passage or more premium choices like cabins and air-conditioned seating, catering to varying preferences and budgets.

🚗 Garage
The only ferries capable of carrying vehicles, are those departing from Ancona and Bari. The garages are large and allow the transport of a large number of vehicles of all types, including large vehicles such as campers. Hydrofoils, on the other hand, which are smaller in size than the ferries, do not have garages and therefore cannot carry vehicles except bicycles.

💺 Accommodation
If you choose to travel by ferry, you can book your accommodation according to your travel needs. Do you want to travel in total privacy and comfort? then reserving an exclusive cabin with bathroom will definitely be the travel option for you! On the other hand, to save money, booking a recliner or deck passage are the most convenient solutions. Hydrofoil travel does not allow you to choose, but all passengers will travel with standard fare, taking seats on numbered seats. The hydrofoil will be considered at maximum capacity when all seats are sold out.

🍴 Food and entertainment
The main difference between hydrofoils and ferries is that only on board the latter will you find à la carte restaurants, while hydrofoils have a small bar on board where you can buy snacks or drinks. On board the ferries to Croatia at your disposal you will also find children's play areas, stores and the possibility to sit on the outside deck to enjoy the view.

🧳 Luggage
If you travel by ferry, you will have no luggage limits, especially if they stay in your car. If, on the other hand, you travel by hydrofoil, one piece of hand luggage per passenger of maximum size 56cm x 45cm x 25cm with weight not exceeding 10kg will be included in your ticket.

P.R.M.
All passengers with reduced mobility or other disabilities will be assisted with excellence by all shipping companies for Croatia. The ferries, due to their larger size and space on board, offer greater comfort for passengers who need assistance, also offering special cabins.

🐾 Pets
Pets are welcome on the ferry and hydrofoil to Croatia! Make sure you have all the necessary documentation with you to travel smoothly; if you are unsure, seek advice from your trusted veterinarian. When booking, you will need to enter the number of pets under "pet" and, throughout the trip, pets must remain on a leash or in the travel carrier. If you choose to travel in a cabin, be sure to book a pet friendly cabin.
