The gate of St. Antonino (the Torrione) dates back to 1200 and is the oldest monument of Piombino. Closeby is the fortress of Rivellino, which was added in the XV century and it was built to protect the city ruled by the Orsini family.
Worth a visti also the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall) and the Torre dell''Orologio (Clock Tower). To complete the stroll, Piazza Bovio is ideal with its beautiful terrace and a stuning view over the Tuscan Archipelago.

Located in the area of the beautiful island of Elba, Portoferraio is a touristical port in the largest town of Elba and in the province of Livorno, on the edge of the harbour who has the same name. Many of its buildings are on the slopes of a tiny hill surrounded on three sides by the sea.
