Ferry Anzio Ponza
On the coast of Lazio Anzio is a pretty fishing port on the coast of Lazio, south of Rome. Important in Roman time, it was a landing-spot for the Allies in the World War II.
Anzio was a Volscian town at first. Later it became a favourite spot for the emperors: today the port is busy and colourful, with  elegant Liberty-style villas and trees on the slopes uphill close to the town.

The island of Ponza appeals thanks to its landscape and shor. Boat trips enable the tourists to explore also the nature reserve of Zannone. Along the beaches you can visit the Grotte di Pilato, three ancient caves where the Romans dug pools to catch their seafood. There are now plenty of restaurantsto eat fresh seafood.
