Cangas, in Galician Cangas do Morrazo, is a Spanish town located in the Rias Baixas area of the autonomous community of Galicia. It overlooks the estuary of the Ria de Vigo, opposite the town of the same name.

The municipality of Cangas has one of the longest coastlines in Spain and has several dozen beaches that are very popular and popular during the summer months. The town of Cangas also has one of the main ports for connections with the Cíes Islands, included in the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, and the small archipelago of San Simón. 🚢 Ferry departures from Cangas:

  •  Cíes Islands: connections are guaranteed year-round, with one departure per week during winter, up to several departures per day in summer.

  •  San Simón Island: departures from Cangas run only from May to October, with some exceptions on holidays and when there are events on the island.

Connections on both islands are operated by two shipping companies, Mar de Ons y Naviera Nabia.

Services available at the port of Cangas:

Just outside the Cangas terminal, a bus station is available and will connect you to the rest of the island. The city center can be reached on foot from the port and offers access to various facilities such as bars, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, and stores.

When travelling by fast ferries in your ticket is always included a seat and a piece of hand luggage per passenger, extra luggage is allowed on board for a fee that can be paied directly at the port when collecting the boarding passes. On board are available a bar/cafeteria where you will be able to grab a snak of a cup of coffee while navigating towards your destination.

Praia de Areamilla: a small semi-urban beach, that is, close to services but located in a natural area, it overlooks a small inlet protected by cliffs.

Praia de Nerga: features pearly sand and crystal-clear waters; it is surrounded by the nature of a green pine forest, but still offers refreshment facilities.
