Ferries to Pianosa: book the best offer on Ok-Ferry!
Pianosa, widely known for its flatness, is a land rich in life and colours. Until 1998 the landing on the island has been strictly limited, since a state prison was there established; nonetheless, the beauty and the wilderness of the island has been preserved and therefore it is currently included in the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. In the last few years, it has become possible to visit the island accompanied by a tour guide, and hike along the paths in the Mediterranean forest, among the Roman ruins.
It is easy to reach Pianosa by ferry departing from Piombino, on the Tuscan coast, and from the Isle of Elba. The ferry service is actually performed once a week by one Ferry Company.
Ferries to Pianosa: information about the sailing
The sailings to Pianosa are performed at daytime; during the sailing, i.e. 2 hours and 50 minutes, the time on the ferry flows pleasantly, partly thanks to the comforts made available.
Passengers can only book deck accommodation, which is to say no reserved seat on board; they could anyway sit on the cafeteria seats, or in the salon. It is also possible to carry luggage on board, or to have a walk around the vessel, on the weather deck.
It is not possible to bring vehicles onto Pianosa.
